"This is Different"

When I first met Renee, I knew right away there was something special about her. Through her, I was introduced to Anchor & Key Ministries—and it has been such a blessing in my life.

From the very beginning, during times of prayer, worship, and fellowship, I felt a deep sense of connection to the body of Christ and His tangible presence. What stood out most was the genuine love, the judgment-free atmosphere, and the true feeling of belonging—even though I didn’t know anyone at first.

Now, Renee, her husband, and everyone who gathers through this ministry feel like an extension of God’s love. It’s a place where you’re fully welcomed, fully seen, and fully supported.

Having been born and raised in the church, I’ve seen a lot—but this is different. There’s a peace and comfort here that’s hard to explain. Anchor & Key has become a place where I truly feel at home in my faith.

"A Place Where They Can See the Lord"

I’ve known Jimmy and Renee for a few years now and have been working more

directly with them and Anchor & Key in serving God’s people for several months now. I really like this model as it gives enough structure to help people through healing that I went through pretty much on my own with the Holy Spirit. As I’ve thought about how to describe this to people who ask me what it is…I think I’ve come up with a good way to explain it. It is not therapy, it is not counseling, it is not even a time where someone will prophesy over you and tell you “what the Lord is saying”, although that is important! I’d describe it as a guided tour.

If I went to someplace where I had a guide that led me through wherever I was visiting,

I didn’t go there to see the guide, I went there to see what the guide will help me to see in a clearer way. The ministry sessions are designed and intended to bring the ministry receiver to a place where they can see the Lord…where they can hear His voice…maybe more clearly than they ever have. The Lord knows exactly what we need to see, hear and experience to get free from what haunts us.

I have personally been through a couple ministry sessions that were beautiful and powerful and helped to bring a deeper level of freedom and healing to my life. I’ve also been involved with several sessions as a minister and watched the Lord meet people right where they’re at and bring healing to their hearts!

The only kind of people that exist are people that have been damaged by life in one

way or another! We all need healing, restoration, freedom and love…Anchor & Key is

helping to only facilitate this, but to train local Jesus followers in this ministry as well! It is a powerful ministry that is biblically sound!

"A Tremendous Encouragement"

Renee has been a tremendous encouragement by providing spiritual, technical, and social support to my worship leading roles. Her love for Jesus flows into her work and relationships with others. Her patient and kind guidance equipped me to lead others in worship for the first time at our church's annual women's retreat. She shared her expertise in such a way that put me at ease, but also nourished confidence. Her encouragement not only enabled me to use my gifts to serve others, but also helped me more closely connect with God in my own worship.

"Like I Had a Piece of Heaven Right Here on Earth"

On July 7, 2021, I had an experience with Jesus that forever changed my world. Prior to this encounter, I was depleted, isolated, and seeking freedom from things that would only provide temporary relief and no answers. However, in my pursuit of peace, hope, and freedom, God so lovingly placed Renee and Jimmy Story of Anchor & Key Ministries on my path. It was no accident and an answer to prayer.

The morning of my session with Anchor & Key, I had many emotions and lots of uncertainty centered around what this experience would be like. Those feelings were quickly met with reassurance of who my Father is and who He says I am. Instead of condemnation, shame, and fear, I was met with hope, joy, assurance, and most importantly an identity that was much different than one I was believing about myself.

Walking into this session, I was told that I was going to “hear” from God. To my knowledge, I never heard from God before. This blew my mind! I did hear from him and I left feeling refreshed, excited about the future, and encouraged. That day made me feel like I had a piece of heaven right here on earth. I left Renee and Jimmy’s house with a different set of lenses, contentment, and not wanting the peace and joy I was walking in to ever leave. That sunny afternoon of July 7, 2021, as I drove down my street (a street I have driven on hundreds of times), I saw the sun gleaming through the trees above me and I thought to myself, “I have never seen trees that beautiful in my life”. It is something I will never forget and a treasure/truth I can always go back to.

Since this journey began, four years ago, the Lord has continued to show me the beauty of the world around me and that even in the deepest and darkest of places, there are nuggets of gold. He has stirred in me an eagerness to not lose hope. He has implanted the most incredible people on my path that have helped to reinforce all of His goodness and who have shared their wisdom that encourages me along this journey. I am still a work in progress and there is a long way to go but I am so grateful that I said yes to accepting Jesus and fortunate that people like Renee and Jimmy have walked alongside me throughout this process.

"The Time, Care, and Refreshing that Come Through Anchor & Key"

I met Renee when she led worship for A Day Apart, a quarterly gathering of Connecticut

ministers. The presence of God filled the room, and it was evident that He had filled

and gifted his daughter.

As a church, we were recently able to pick up Anchor & Key as one of our local

missionaries. As part of that, Renee offered that she and Jimmy would make

themselves available to help with anything that was needed, such as helping with

worship and with counseling and freedom for members of our staff.

Subsequent conversations have been truly helpful and enlightening. We have been

able to help each other, and I am more aware of how much church leadership and those

who constantly give of themselves need the time, care, and refreshing that come

through Anchor & Key Ministries.

Through the resources Anchor and Key Ministries have provided, I have begun a new journey with Jesus. One that is marked by love, acceptance and authenticity. It is just the beginning of a life changing transformation where I learn my true identity. The version of me that God created, and I learn to live fully embodied in that identity.
