How to Keep Walking in Freedom

nicholeqwordpress

In this life, it's easy to get so busy and distracted that we forget to actively walk in freedom each day. Here are some reminders to help you stay on the path of freedom with the Lord:

ARMOR UP

Truth. The Righteousness of Christ. The Gospel of Peace. Faith. Salvation. The Holy Spirit. The Word of God. Prayer. This is your armor. And your weapon. Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. This is how you defeat the enemy and walk in the victory that Christ has won for you.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Ephesians 6:10-18

RENEW YOUR MIND

Review and meditate on your new Godly Beliefs every day.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

SPEAK LIFE

Be careful what you speak - aloud and in your mind. If you recognize an Ungodly Belief, go through the Ungodly Belief Ministry Steps and replace it with a Godly Belief.

The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21

REST IN GOD'S HEALING PRESENCE

Continue to spend time with the Lord. Remember and thank him for how He healed your hurt. Ask for more healing, wait to see what He will do, and receive it!

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Psalm 23:2-3

SUBMIT TO GOD & RESIST THE DEVIL

You can only resist the devil by first submitting your whole self to God, Do that, then tell the devil to go, and he will. If you are struggling to discern lies or strongholds that are still giving the enemy a foothold in your life, you can bind those demons and forbid them to operate until that ground is recovered. If you should slip and fall, repent, do self-deliverance if necessary, and go on again.

'God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.' Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. James 4:6a-10

OVERCOME BY THE WORD OF YOUR TESTIMONY

The joy of the Lord is our strength! Tell others what marvelous and wondrous work God has done in your life and not only will God be glorified but you will be strengthened.

For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. Revelation 12:10b-11a

REACH OUT TO OTHERS

We were never meant to walk the path alone. Ask the Lord to connect you with others who are seeking to live in the freedom of Christ. And if you think you need another ministry session, let us know so we can help you find the best path forward!

(This is adapted from the ongoing support materials provided to ministry receivers after they complete a Restoring the Foundations session.)
